Lake Windermere Triathlons 2021
Not one for the faint-hearted, the triathlons come in 3 levels. The standard event includes a 1.5k swim, 47k bike ride and 10k run. Alternatively, there’s a relay event or a shorter, yet just as challenge course available.
Horse Racing at Cartmel
The local Cartmel Racecourse isn’t too far from Windermere. It also hosts some of the most prestigious events on the racing calendar. In particular, the summer racing weekend starting on Saturday 17th July 2021.

Although a number of events have been put on hold due to the pandemic, you can still challenge yourself to the Great Lake District Swim.
