This Land is Our Land
During your package break in the Lake District try and visit Wordsworth House. It’s one of Cumbria’s top attractions and once home to famous poet William Wordsworth. This particular exhibition focuses on the power of nature and the environment.
The Rise and Fall of Little Voice
Enjoy an outdoor performance as part of Theatre by the Lakes. You may already be familiar with the film “Little Voice” starring Michael Caine and Jane Horricks. Either way, this live adaptation will have the hairs on the back of your neck stand on edge.
Lakes Alive
Follow more performances from the world of music, theatre and the arts at Lakes Alive. Taking place in September 2019 in and around Kendal. As well as classical concerts and live theatre, there are also art installations prepared specially for the occasion.
Holker Chili Fest
The annual festival of our beloved chilis takes place each year in Grange-Over-Sands. Bringing together the hottest products in the country. As well as some designed for the more sensitive of taste buds.
Westmorland County Show
This is yet another annual event, taking place once more during September 2019 in the Lake District. Local farmers, gardeners, cheesemakers and many more come together to display their livestock and homegrown produce.
Epic Lakes Swim
If you’re feeling competitive and enjoy wild swimming, then this is an event for you. The fun yet challenging outdoor swim in Windermere covers 3 distances of varying difficulty.
