Cancellation/Booking Policies

From 5th November to 2nd December 2020 overnight stays and holidays away from primary residences will not be allowed – including holidays in the UK and abroad. This includes staying in a second home or caravan, if you own one, or staying with anyone you do not live with or are in a support bubble with.

You are allowed to stay overnight away from your home if you:

  • are unable to return to your main residence
  • need accommodation while moving house
  • need accommodation to attend a funeral or related commemorative event
  • require accommodation for work purposes or to provide voluntary services
  • are a child requiring accommodation for school or care
  • are homeless, seeking asylum or a vulnerable person seeking refuge
  • are an elite athlete or their support staff or parent, if the athlete is under 18

If you were already on holiday, you should return to your home as soon as practical and comply with the ‘stay at home’ requirements in your holiday accommodation in the meantime.

Guest accommodation providers such as hotels, B&Bs and caravan parks may remain open for the specific reasons set out in law, including where guests are unable to return to their main residence, use that guest accommodation as their main residence, or would otherwise be made homeless as a result of the accommodation closing. Accommodation providers are also encouraged to work cooperatively with Local Authorities to provide accommodation to vulnerable groups including the homeless during this period of national restrictions.

Our Windermere Boutique Spa Suite property at Aphrodites Group will remain open ONLY for guests who meet the above criteria during UK lockdown. It is your responsibility to ensure you fully meet the criteria listed and are not breaching any laws. Please remember we are an ADULTS only establishment, therefore can only accept guests aged 18 and over.

Rates include bed & continental breakfast only. No pre-arrival extras/hampers will be available. Takeaways delivered to your suite from Bowness town are permitted. Guests are allowed to bring own food, however please note the suites do not have self catering facilities. Housekeeping will not be available on multiple night stays, however extra supplies can be requested & delivered to your suite such as towels, toiletries. Check in as normal at Aphrodites Boutique Suites property, keys will be given and directions to Spa Suites (just 300m away).



Booking Policy  

**Please note we unfortunately cannot accept American Express**  

All prices are per room per night, bed & breakfast, based on 2 adults sharing.  

A Credit or Debit Card is required to secure your reservation with a 50% non-refundable deposit when making your booking. The remaining balance, inclusive of any pre-ordered extras must be paid for on arrival.  

Unfortunately, we do not accept 3rd party bookings. The booking must be made by the person who is to be the guest and payment must be made by that person’s card. You will be asked to provide the card used to make your booking on arrival, if this card is not available, you will be asked to produce another card in your name where the full amount of the reservation will be charged, the original card will then be refunded. Unfortunately, if you are unable to provide a card in your own name, we will not be able to honour your booking

For guests staying at our Windermere Boutique Spa Suites and Windermere Tranquil Retreat properties, there will be a pre-authorisation charge of £100, for guests staying at our Aphrodites Boutique Suites there will be a preauthorisation charge of £50. These charges will take place on arrival.  This money is held by the bank for 10-14 days before returning to the customers bank account. This stands as a deposit which will be claimed by Aphrodites Group in the case of room/item damage, missing room items, noise disturbance or any unsociable behaviour during your stay.  

All direct bookings made either through our website or over the phone are non-refundable. 


If you are booking through a 3rd party website eg, please read the terms & conditions on the relevant website as they may differ from our direct booking system. 


Cancellation/Transfer Policy  


If you wish to cancel or transfer your booking, please advise us as soon as possible by form of writing in a letter or email.  Unfortunately, we cannot accept cancellations over the telephone.  

Bookings can be transferred if notified 15 or more days prior to arrival. Unfortunately, within 14 days of arrival Suites are completely non-transferable and non-refundable

We recommend that holiday insurance be taken out.
