Coniston 14 Road Race
If you prefer to pick up the pace a little, then the road race is somewhat more of a challenge. Albeit one that’s met with equally rewarding scenery. The event attracts over 1.5k runners each year, taking place mid-March. Applications for the 2020 race have recently closed, although that doesn’t mean you can’t start training for next year instead!
Lakeland Country Fair
August in the Lake District is a time traditional country fairs are in full swing. Non-more-so though at Torver near Coniston. Expect to see all the usual displays of fell ponies, foxhounds and falconry, along with an array of arts and craft.
