Detox in January with a Hot Tub Suite

Whether it’s the start of a more sober year or easing yourself into a healthier lifestyle, then why not relax at our spa hotel? As part of the wider Aphrodites Group, the Windemere Boutique Spa Suites come with all the same facilities as our other properties.

Only rather than venturing outdoors onto the balcony, you can simply enjoy the benefits of a hot tub from within your room. Leaving you to escape the realities of the outside world, resisting the temptation of those nearby bars and restaurants.

Things to do in January

It’s hard to believe 12 months ago many of the local attractions were closed to the public due to the ongoing pandemic. Yet here we are, still going strong and welcoming our wonderful guests. As to are many of the regions holiday hotspots.

Yet in January, you can expect a slightly quieter month. Whereby outside of the more crowded and tourist-driven months, you can explore life at your own pace. As such, take advantage of the Lake Cruises in nearby Coniston or catch the boat from Windermere Jetty.

Likewise, usually, there are fewer queues at Muncaster Castle or in the event of a rainy day there’s always the Aquarium or arts and craft at Blackwell House.

Healthy Living in Windermere

It’s all very well having some incredible pubs and eateries within walking distance, but what if you’re away and trying to be good? Well, you’re in luck as while many bars and restaurants will cater for a healthy option, so too will other specialists.

Firstly, remember you don’t have to start your day with a fry-up (although we wouldn’t blame you if you did!). We also have continental breakfast available or alternatively, Graze Café and Homeground Coffee & Kitchen are only a short walk away.

Then for lunch, there’s the Urban Food House near Beatrix Potter or maybe even Booths next to the train station for something on the go.
However, a healthy appetite isn’t simply about good food. Remember to get out and about during your January staycation. The fresh air will do you a world of good, from those long bike rides into the hills to a brisk morning walk down by the water.
